Just an Idea

May I suggest, as a gesture of thanks to warm sunshine and the emerging spring, that you run right out (or get online) and purchase a new lingerie set?

Stella McCartney's got some new, pretty, casual undies (though admittedly they're not my style):

Or, perhaps, you'd prefer to channel your inner pinup? How great would this be under a fitted shift?

  1. ahhh. little lingerie sets are definitely the best! it's a great little luxury that I deeply enjoy the older I get.

  2. That Stella bra works for me, though the bottoms aren't my thing. I'd love some new things. Tick Tock!

  4. Eli: I so agree with you. It's a way that you can really splurge (vaguely affordably) and, when you buy the right stuff, it makes everything - from your naked body to your clothes - look great.

Enc: Resist, resist. The shopping porn posts are not for you!

Nadine: Run out and buy it. I can so see it on you (and I don't mean this in a pervy way... What I mean is that it would suit your personality as I know it from your blog)

  5. Stella's undies are too vegan for me. I like meaty lingerie ;-)

  6. I love the second option. I cannot wait to invest in great undies once I get my first professional gig. And no, teaching is not a real job...there are so many gorgeous things in my closet that I don't have the balls to wear in fron tof my students!!

  7. Riz: Pull it all out and wear it now! I'm sure you've got some great avant garde designs lurking in your closet and those fashion theorists you teach need to see it in action. It's like a public service! K

  8. That Stella set reminds me of the simple stuff Calvin Klein used to put out.

  9. Ambika: That's spot on. I knew it seemed derivative in some way I couldn't put my finger on (what isn't, on some level, really?) I can appreciate its minimalist simplicity, but it just doesn't rock my world like the vava voom below it. And it's not really good for women with serious breasts (from the look of it).
