I found this pic on Face Hunter, posted in February. It simply delights me that people walk around London in the middle of the winter like this! Talk about suffering for your art...
I like the idea of mixing the shorts with the tights and a prim top. And don't you love this woman's hair?
This is a beautiful color combination. And yes, the woman's hair certainly works on her. That Louise Brooks bob isn't for everyone, though I'll bet you could pull it off!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks fabulous in an unlikely color combination. I love the look.
ReplyDeleteMy hair is never that slick, no matter how hard I try. But one thing about London. . . is that I found the winters to be quite mild. It wasn't freezing (like it is in the DC metro area). . . just chilly. . . so shorts with tights is kind of do-able.
ReplyDeleteMiss C: As a woman with fine, straight hair, I've always been attracted to that cut. I even tried to grow my hair to look exactly like this, but it never took on that degree of sleekness. I may try it again, of course, a girl can only sport the same haircut for so many years and my hair doesn't lend itself to that many alternatives.
ReplyDeleteEnc: I know - aren't those colours perfect together!
Etoilee: You are right, of course, but still it seems extreme to go with shorts in Feb! It's just wrong to be sweater-less at very least...
I love this too! I can't believe that's all she was wearing in February though. I bet she has a friend holding her coat just out of shot!
ReplyDeleteMiss White: You so called that one!
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful! I like the high waisted short shorts, worn with good legs of course.
ReplyDeleteI really want to perfect the art of high-wisted shorts!
ReplyDeleteIHeart: I think it's the combo of the willow legs with the long waist that does it. If she were curvy, it may not work as well...
ReplyDeleteRiz: Honestly, there are some good cheapy options to try out. As there's not much fabric going on, they're rather affordable :-)
I love these colors together. So subtle but really colorful.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I completely agree! This woman's outfit is A+ but I can only dream of being photographed on the streets wearing something like this. I've trained my feet to withstand heels for the duration of the work day, but I'm not walking the streets like this dedicated lady...
ReplyDeleteJealoushe: (Great name, btw). I imagine that she lives a glamourous life of art parties and fancy dinners. She's not like a regular working girl - at least not in my imagination!
