Vanity Watch

Check out Martha Stewart's answers to the Proust Questionnaire on the Vanity Fair website.

(Why don't I believe that her greatest regret is not having a dozen children?)

  1. I would have hoped for more honesty in her interview.... = (

  2. Don't make her next regret be kicking your booty.

  3. Jail? Ex-husband she seemed to adore? Those don't figure into her regrets? Hmmmm....

  4. I love reading the Proust questionnaire, but Martha's answers do seem a little disingenuous.

  5. Her answers seem overly crafted, if you ask me . . .

  7. Please. And I don't think I've ever read more boring answers to the questionnaire.

  8. E: Well, I wasn't going to say it... :-)

April: It's true. It seemed flat.

Monkey: I know this post didn't reflect my tremendous respect for her empire :-)

    Bel: Exactly!

Janet: Very disingenuous. I'd like her more if I felt she were honest. Lord knows she's talented.

    Miss C: I totally agree.

Belle: Don't you think it's the one that stuck out particularly?

Alec: It's hard to make that questionnaire boring but she did it.

  9. I share your skepticism. But I do think of her somewhat fondly for having taken out a million different device chargers at a technology conference and asking the likes of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates why we couldn't have just one charger for everything. Because wouldn't that be so much more convenient?

  10. That is a genius tale, Wendy. I would totally love her for that reason alone. Nobody doubts she's a super smart cookie. And bold.
