You know you have a "pattern purchase problem" when you receive new parcels in the mail and you can't even remember having ordered them. To wit, my latest surprise:
This dress has certainly been popular with bloggers. Look at Kim's version.
I don't even know where to put this in the queue of things I want to make. Hmmm...

I think you have the perfect figure for this dress.
ReplyDeleteOh I've done that. But not this time. (I hope)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great dress and I think it will look fabulous on you. I know I didn't order it although I wavered back and forth a good bit, but decided that the lovely angled lines would not be as flattering as I would like.
Ooh, make me one. I would love the sleeveless version in gray and I would like some of the panels to be in black. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThat's happened to me with vintage dresses and eBay...
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome pattern!
ReplyDeletei like it! and i am curious to see what color you would make it in!
ReplyDeleteI like this one, especially without the sleeves!
ReplyDeleteThis would be really easy to draft and SUPER fun to ad blocks of colour to! :)
ReplyDeleteWow...I've never had someone link to one of my blog posts! Thank you! This dress is actually fairly simple to make but it takes a bit of patience. There are no "panels" to it. The bodice is just a front and a back and you get the shaping by doing darts and the pleats.
ReplyDeleteYour post made me realize that I hadn't worn it since the party and decided to dress it down today with boots and a cashmere cardi wrap for work. I'm definitely considering the sleeveless version for the summer. I can't wait to see your version.
Thanks,
Kim
Very Herve Leger = looking forward to this one xx
ReplyDeleteSusan: Thank you!
ReplyDeleteM: I think they would look great on a tall frame!
Bel: Oooh, gray would be chic!
Wendy: It's happened to me again - have another mystery parcel to pick up from post office...
Jade and Droll: Merci!!
Stacey: I'm amazed by how everyone is loving the sleeveless version. I'm doing the sleeves this time out...
Queen: Maybe easy to draft - but a pain in the ass to fabric mark!
Kim: Going to put it together today. Wish me luck!
Lisa: So true!
