- Gotta take pics of the new Harper Jacket for posting soon. The prob right now is that the light is SO weak, it's tough to take a picture that shows any detail. This is the worst time of year for that.
- Gonna make another Harper Jacket in this fabric. It does curl, but I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve. Of course, it means I'm going to have to freakin' pattern-match. Can I say how much I'm grateful that there are only 6 separate pieces to seam together.
- I haven't forgotten about Scott's gloves (I wrote a post on them but haven't put it up yet). While my body is tired (not the best time for knitting), I'm continuing to work on this project slowly. Maybe today I'll do an hour or so. Good news, this is compatible with Law and Order.
- This is the craziest thing. I'm going to try to video myself showing and talking about magic loop for the upcoming KAL. I have no idea if this is going to be illuminating or disastrous, so don't get your hopes up. Fortunately, between what I can write about my experience, and what I can link you to online, this is a "nice to have".
- Oh, and Scott and M want spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. So theoretically, I'm going to spend an hour or two making that.
- Yoga - that must be prioritized today as I've not practiced since Thursday and my body is feeling it.
So, let's take bets. What will I accomplish today? All of it, some of it, none of it? And what's on your agenda for the day? Let's talk!
Looking forward to your Harper reveal. Considered it myself at one point, but veered off into Jean jacket production and never got around to ordering it. Good luck with the agenda. Karen
ReplyDeleteYou can always go back and order it now :-)
DeleteOooh, ambitious! I've got a really similar grey-and-navy sweater knit in my stash, so I'll be watching to see how yours turns out!
ReplyDeleteYou should use it on the Harper. I think stripes really make this jacket.
DeleteI'm looking forward to your video! Even if it doesn't come out the way you want it to, it will be really fun to hear your voice!
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm looking forward to it too - unless it totally sucks (which is possible). :-)
DeleteMy thoughts exactly! Can't wait...and I'm sure it will be marvellous!
DeleteI know that moment, the one where I assess the lists that I'm feeling almost overwhelmed by, and realize that the stuff on the lists is all stuff I choose to do, stuff that I like to do, stuff that makes me happy. Doesn't always stop me from feeling like grumbling about it, but sometimes it's a useful perspective to have. If only not the weekend-warrior bit, indeed. . . (plus right now, my weekend me-stuff is guilty work as well, since marking intrudes through every day and every evening until the grades get filed. . . )
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm the instrument of my own insanity! :-) The only thing I haven't added is the cinq a sept!
DeleteI would bet on some ))
ReplyDeleteCool agenda, but indeed a little bit busy.
And I'm curious about gloves (especially about the way you connected fingers to the palm).
.
Well, my agenda for the weekend was like: spend some money in five different places, visit my parents, have my nails done, facial and some other stuff and go to my tailor to try a new coat. I almost succeed on spending money part (4 of 5), nail care and facial are in check, but my new coat wasn't ready for me to try (and I'm furious about that! it's the second time she reschedules). I wrote a post about wardrobe basics, but haven't found all the pics I need to go with it, so it's not up and I don't know when I will have time to do that.
PS Does I sound like some useless snob? ))
I will talk more about the gloves - that part is the trickiest, for sure. And it sounds to me like your weekend was great - except for the coat part. You do not seem useless OR snobby :-)
DeleteI bet you get 70% done, which is way more than I have managed to knock off my agenda today. Just got back from visiting Gail in Chicago this afternoon and had big sewing plans, but between laundry, catching up on correspondence, getting through my reader and getting generally organized, there has been no sewing. Alas, there is always knitting before bed. Oh, and I'm hoping you can show me magic loop IRL, but a video would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI did get 70 per cent done. How did you guess?! And, once you travel, all bets are off. Traveling is its own kind of insanity. Can't be expected to be otherwise productive. Magic loop ahoy!
