E: I only wish she'd read the blog more often :-) Sandra is a very old friend - I should say long-time friend - who's currently living far, far away. It's been a year since I've seen her. This from having seen her most every day for years. So many people I care about live so far away. I find it hard to manage sometimes.
I'll have you know that thanks to my 2 recent trips to Beirut, I now have big ARAB hair. I have learned many secrets from my Arab sisters... Like, for example, that no self-respecting woman should go out without having her hair professionally styled. And that the beautiful curls of the Lebanese princesses are the result of special hair treatments that one does every 6 months.
Also, I've just learned (a week ago) that changing your part can make you feel like a whole new woman. And that having a different hair style every day makes you feel more like a movie star and less like an office grunt.
Form/Function. Line/Curve. Safe/Risk. Art/Craft. Body/Mind.
Fashion intersects these. It's how we express what is popular in what is personal. It's where intellect debates sex; where soft and hard duke it out. So much mystery underpins beautiful things. So much confidence rests upon them. Discuss.
If only I knew who Sandra was . . .
