Sign of the Times

Though it's still cool here, much of the time, I can see summer on the horizon. This evidence is irrefutable:

First rose bloom in my garden this year...
I've lost a lot of plants over the past two - very bad - winters. But, this time last year, I planted 2 rose bushes and they are bursting with health and growth. I just stand outside and stare at them.

Curious to know: When do roses bloom in your part of the world?

  1. Do you really want to know? Can you bear it? Mine have been blooming for almost a month now. . . But you must be thrilled with yours after that long, horrid winter. Update photos of your garden? I'd love to see more . . .

  2. I'm just north of Seattle WA, and most of mine are either just finishing, or in the middle of blooming. VERY mild winter out here, so everything started slightly early.

    1. I really hope we get a mild winter this year. I really need one. A few years ago, that's how it went and everyone was so freakin' happy. Last 2 winters, not so much :-)
