I am not the world's most photogenic person. Just ask my mother. (Caveat: My husband seems to bring out the best in me, so I'm excepting his pics...) Having said that, the photo below - taken by Peter at the Chelsea Flea Market (which, btw, I've heard about in media 15 times since going, though I'd never known of it before) - really captures my joy of browsing:
Yes, I may be cuter in person (or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it), but my natural enthusiasm is all over this photo, and it's a quality that's pretty hard to capture in a still shot.
PS: Though I'm still looking for the perfect vintage Hermes scarf, every time I unfold one, I get a jolt of thrill.

Are you kidding? you are stylish AND adorable at the same time. How many people pull that off? I love your style!!
ReplyDeleteKristin, when I met you I was wowed by your personality -- I felt like little Patrick with Auntie Mame!
ReplyDeleteSo, did you buy the scarf? I recognize that face, but have learned to mask it at flea markets until I walk away from the booth with a steal of a deal. Your smile is infectious!
ReplyDeleteDid you make the cape - please say yes!!

ReplyDeletePeter's comment is a serious compliment. Who wouldn't want to feel like Patrick with Auntie Mame?
Such a great shot- the unfurling of the Hermes- hopefully the day you find the perfect one there is someone to capture the moment!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I'm still a little sad to know that you were in the city and I didn't know this...:( but judging from the picture here and the ones on Peter's blog, you had a really good time and that makes me happy! :)
