Then you can choose some other yarn. In fact, you don't even need to buy the pattern as the picture is good enough to count the rows and the stitches needed. Then, if you consider the benefits of working with the yarn suggested (when you know little about the properties of a particular fiber), it seems like a good idea. And then I'm back to the same old challenge - too expensive to justify right now.
